Troubleshooting


  • During the installation, I get the following message, what should I do ?
    MSG: The destination file c:\windows\system\xxx is write protected. Abort / Retry / Ignore ?
    1. This means you already have the file, and it is being used or write protected, so copy failed.
    2. You can simply choose the "Ignore" option, because the file is already on you PC
  • I got a JAVA error when browsing some Internet page, how do I fix it ?
    1. There are two possible reasons, one is the webpage itself have an JAVA error, this error is not caused by Stock Analyzer software, the website admin has to fix it, you can do nothing about it.
    2. The other is caused by killing of popup windows. The web page you open must want to create popup a window, and communicate between the main and popup window.
    3. If this popup window cannot be created, the communication will then fail, and you will get a JAVA error. To fix this, simply uncheck the toolbar [kill popup] box.
  • I customize the link, but next time I run the software, seems my setting is not saved ?
    1. Your setting is stored in setsys.dat, setshow.dat, settab.dat and watch.dat files.
    2. The setting cannot be saved if any one of above file is Read-Only.
    3. Use windows explorer's right-mouse menu, select properties, then uncheck Read-Only option.
  • I messed up with my system settings, now what ?
    1. You can undo all your changes by restoring settings from your backup or from default setting.
    2. Click [Setup] --> [Link Library] --> [Restore From Backup] or [Restore Default Setting].
